The Scrap Came Back is an upcycled and repurposed gift store and artist workspace. It was established to provide employment and artistic opportunities to individuals with intellectual disabilities. The individuals learn employment skills as they repurpose items destined for the landfill. The Scrap Came Back provides a store front for Manitoba artists including many of DASCHs own to sell their products.

Consumer co-op hardware store selling Benjamin Moore Paint, plumbing, electrical, glass, screen, garden tools, housewares, plus hard-to-find items like Aladdin Lamps, cabbage cutters, meat grinders, juicers, crocks etc. We also fix windows and screens and do sharpening.
We create soup each week, to order, for delivery to downtown and select drop-off points, and also provide meeting and event catering. The Soup Bee is a non-profit social enterprise supported by the West Broadway Community Organization (WBCO). Our goals are to provide supportive employment opportunities in the downtown core, promote food security and local producers, all while leaving a small carbon footprint.
